Caring for the patient, preparation for the funeral

The aim is to restore a natural appearance of the patient to make the overall experience easier for relatives and friends. Patient care provides a lasting memory of the patient in a peaceful state.

Standard practice with all our patients:

• Hair and body wash.
• Embalming (hygienic preparation), to ensure hygiene and safety of loved ones and those handling the patient.
• Hairstyling, makeup and for men shaving, to present the patient with as natural appearance as we can.
• Clothing. We will advise the family of appropriate clothing for the patient, depending on individual circumstances. Clothing will help present the patient in a natural way, and take account of environmental requirements.

Optional patient care:

• Varnishing nails, circumstance permitting.
